Thankful that we’ve come as far as we have but sad that many women don’t recognize the struggle or appreciate how vulnerable some of the achievements might be. So sad about the number of women that made the voting choice they did, voting against their best interests as well as not supporting a strong, smart woman.
Wow! So much truth in this, Susie! Reminds me of seeing a photo of Kathrine Switzer, the first woman who ran the Boston Marathon in 1967, fending off men trying to push her down as she ran. Kudos to her for running it again 50 years later. We've "come a long way, baby," but, as Robert Frost said "we have miles to go before [we] sleep."
